June 20 (Renewables Now) - French multi-energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and power producer General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) have launched a 500-MW solar project in the north of Libya.Solar Damper

The solar park will be built in the region of As-Saddadah and is the first and largest of its kind in the North African country, GECOL said last week.

It will be followed by more renewable energy projects that will be implemented in the country to support its public power supply, as the state-owned electricity producer said earlier this year.Solar project DC motor
